I've come to a point where I don't really see any reason to use Tidal anymore price-wise. Spotify Premium vs Tidal HiFi vs Deezer HiFi - which streaming service is the best : audiophile So recently I decided to do a sound test between streaming audio services - I am subscribed to Spotify Premium, Tidal HiFi and Deezer HiFi. The ultra HiRes files are still quite rare compared to Tidal tbh but I can easily find some on the music genres I listen to. If in doubt, A/B test as has been suggested by others. This tier is called Tidal HiFi, and it costs 9.99 / £9.99 / AU11.99. Many are leaving for different reasons (other than just Joe Rogan). It’s quickly losing market share to a number of competitors. Can tell even on fairly crappy hardware (cymbals go tss instead of crshh) but it's fairly obvious on good equipment. It used to offer a cheaper premium tier with quality aligned with Spotifys, but now the lowest tier includes Hi-Res Audio. Music Qobuz vs Tidal review: Who’s better in 2022 8 months ago 53.6k Views Share Share on Pinterest Share on Facebook Share on Twitter For a long time, Spotify dominated the music streaming world. Tidal Master quality is included in HiFi Plus. Even without Spatial Audio, sound has a great depth and spatialization. Yes, Tidal HiFi sounds noticeably better than Spotify to me. However, the perceived audio quality is pretty much the same as Spotify Premium since the codex is more efficient. Tidal Master vs HiFi: All-in-depth Comparison Tidal offers free listening plans as well as two paid tiers, Tidal HiFi and HiFi Plus. I've recently re-tried Apple Music and the sound quality AND interface are fantastic imo. But then, it's a price stonk for no specific reasons? It's a shame as Tidal will become the priciest streaming music service but at this point, they just offer the same than other services such as Qobuz, Amazon Music Unlimited or Apple Music.Įven if I would gladly admit that Amazon Music Unlimited UI is garbage and Qobuz car apps are really barebone, I can't see myself paying at least $7 or $8 more than these ones only to get listening stats and a clear user interface. Well, I've been downvoted in other threads when asking for a price drop as MQA wasn't the selling point anymore.
